KT Corp., South Korea's largest fixed-line and broadband operator, said Sunday that it will introduce this week a laptop computer model incorporating wireless Internet WiBro.
The laptop computer is Samsung Electronics Co.'s NT-Q35 model with a liquid crystal display panel measuring 12.1 inches diagonally, the company said in a statement, adding that the product will hit the market on Monday.
It marks the first introduction of WiBro-equipped laptop computers, KT said.
WiBro is a homegrown technology that allows users to log onto the Internet even when they are in motion. KT launched the service in and around Seoul in June with a plan to expand it nationwide by 2008.
KT has been stepping up efforts to unveil WiBro-enabled devices.
It said that more such devices will be launched over the next few months.
