[Photo] Korean-led consortium wins longest suspension bridge contract in Turkey

A consortium including South Korea‘s SK Engineering & Construction Co. and Daelim Industrial Co. have been selected to build a 3,623 meter suspension bridge over the Dardanelles (?anakkale) Strait in Turkey, it was announced. The consortium also includes Turkish companies Limak and Yapi Merkezi. The bridge will overtake the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge in Japan (1,999 meters) as the longest suspension bridge in the world. Construction is to begin in March and be completed in 2023.
