A fleet of five self-driving Hyundai cars successfully made a 190 km roundtrip journey between Seoul and Pyeongchang on Feb. 5. The hydrogen-electric powered vehicles meet SAE International’s Level 4 certification for autonomous driving in safe conditions, which is one level below full automation. This was the world’s first trial run for self-driving hydrogen-electric vehicles, with the cars travelling between 100 and 110 km/h. Hyundai Motors plans to promote this technology during the Pyeongchang Olympics. (provided by Hyundai Motors)
