Starbucks Korea has launched a summer event as part of its rewards (e-frequency) program. Customers who purchase a total of 17 drinks, including three premium beverages, before July 22 are rewarded with a small foldable camping chair or its “summer ready” bag, basically a small hard-plastic suitcase without wheels. One customer at a branch in Seoul’s Yeouido area purchased 300 beverages, earning 17 bags. The customer drank only one of the 300 beverages ordered and walked out with the bags.
