This is not the plot of a K-drama. This is real. Actors Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin are getting married.

Hyun Bin’s agency VAST Entertainment released a statement late Thursday night saying that Hyun Bin and So Ye-jin will tie the knot this upcoming March in Seoul. The agency added that due to the pandemic, the wedding will take place privately, with the couple’s parents and friends in attendance. The two started dating in 2020, after the hit drama “Crash Landing on You” ended.

Son and Hyun both shared their excitement on social media. Son wrote, “I previously thought that a man and a woman having and sharing feelings for and with each other and promising the future together was something unimaginable, but getting here was very natural. I feel grateful for everything that turned our relationship into fate.”

On her fiancé, she said, “I feel warm and secure just being with him. Please send us blessings for the future we will build together.”

Hyun Bin also wrote on his agency’s social media page, “With care, I plan to begin the second chapter of my life.” He added, “I promised the woman who always makes me laugh to walk the remaining days of our lives together.”

The two were rumored to be dating even before they officially became a couple, when they co-starred in the 2018 film “The Negotiation” and the 2019 drama “Crash Landing on You.”

Particularly, the characters they played in “Crash Landing on You” — Jeong-hyeok and Se-ri — had so much chemistry on screen that many fans hoped the actors would start dating. Needless to say, many excited online comments responding to the couple’s marriage announcement mentioned “Crash Landing on You.”

Hyun Bin also wrote in his social media post, “Jeong-hyeok and Se-ri from the drama [‘Crash Landing on You’] will begin the second chapter of their lives together.”
