The previous record was set by “The Lord of The Rings: The Return of The King,” which was released in 2003 and attracted 5,986,000 Korean viewers over the same period.

“Transformers” is a science-fiction film about alien vehicles that can transform into robots and who then battle to save the world. It was directed by Michael Bay and produced by Steven Spielberg. Michael Bay’s other works include “The Rock” and “Armageddon.”
