BAIKONUR, Kazakhstan - The Russian Soyuz spacecraft, which will transport South Korea’s first astronaut into space, undergoes final preparations at the Baikonur Space Center in Kazakhstan on April 6. The Soyuz will blast off at 8:16 p.m. on March 8 (KST) and head to the International Space Station with Lee So-yeon and her Russian crewmates. During her mission, Lee will conduct 18 scientific experiments and will return to Earth on April 19.
