Inhumane priorities

In the upper portion of the panel the statement is written, “Treat people like animals, treat animals like people...”

   

A man representing the Lee Myung-bak government feeds rice to pigs, saying, “This is better than giving our extra rice to North Korea...” as mountains of rice stores are piled high behind him.

 

Beside him, Korean National Policy Agency Commissioner Cho Hyun-oh says that the bereaved family members of sailors who died during the sinking of the Cheonan “wailed like beasts” during the funeral.

 

Although Lee Myung-bak administration faces a serious dilemma in disposing of large amounts of rice stores, it has maintained its adamant opposition to calls for the resumption of rice aid to North Korea.

   

Cho Hyun-oh also received heated criticism for his callous remarks about the bereaved family members.
