In the garden of the Blue House (South Korea’s presidential office or Cheong Wa Dae) a Christmas tree decorated with English acronym ornaments and rolls of bills stands on a snowy day.

The Blue House says, “If you want to live in affluence, you should have a good command of English.”

BBK is the asset management firm for which President Lee Myung-bak has been suspected of being implicated in the manipulation of stock values. ISD indicates President Lee’s elder brother Lee Sang-deuk whose right-hand man was arrested on the charge of bribery. Blue House officials are under suspicion of being involved in the DDoS (distributed denial of service) attack on the National Election Commission (NEC) web site by ruling Grand National Party lawmaker’s assistant. The Blue House has been criticised for railroading the South Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement (KORUS FTA)
