The construction work is completed on the 2,260-meter Yi Sun-shin Bridge linking South Korea's southwestern coastal cities of Yeosu and Gwangyang, both in South Jeolla Province, Jan. 20. The suspension bridge, the biggest in Korea and the fourth longest in the world in terms of length between the two bridge towers, is scheduled to open right before the Yeosu World Expo in May. Yi Sun-shin is the country's legendary naval chief from the 16th century.
