11-year-old boy Ban Dit-bul composed a song as a tribute to Austrian nuns Marianne Stoeger (pictured) and Margareta Pissar, who devoted 40 years to serving as nurses at a hospital for Hansen’s disease patients on Sorok Island, South Jeolla Province. Ban met the nurses after reading a children’s book about them. He visited Sorok Island last month to give the hospital a copy of his song.
