South Korean baseball player Choo Shin-soo, who currently plays for the Texas Rangers in Major League Baseball (MLB), became the first Asian-born player to hit 200 home runs in the MLB on June 5. In a match between the Texas Rangers and Baltimore Orioles at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas, Choo hit a home run in his first plate appearance of the match. It was the 200th home run of his 15-year career and his 11th of this season,
