The sudden break in the late summer heat on Tuesday signaled that fall may have finally arrived in Korea.
With Tuesday’s temperatures registering a few notches lower on the thermometer than Monday, Seoulites could be seen layering up and wearing scarves to keep the chilly morning breeze at bay.
Clear blue skies brought visitors to Haneul Park in Seoul’s Mapo District on Tuesday to enjoy the fall feel of the silvergrass that grows there.
The Korean Meteorological Agency announced that a southward cold front coming in from the north would bring morning temperatures 8 to 13 degrees Celsius lower than Monday, with daytime temperatures Tuesday between 4 and 8 degrees cooler than the day prior.
The agency advised that the public be mindful of their health due to the rapid change in temperature.
