The website of the Office for Government Policy and Coordination, a subordinate body of the Prime Minister‘s Office, was hacked on June 25, allegedly by the international group Anonymous, leaving a pro-North Korea message saying, “Long live unification president Kim Jong-un!” At the same time, the 16 private and government organizations’ website were hacked, including the Saenuri Party’s official site and news media outlets. Anonymous Korea denied responsibility for the attacks and said it must have been North Korean hackers using their name. The group had already declared their intention to hack 46 North Korea sites on June 25, the anniversary of the start of the Korean War.
