[Photo] Anal gold smugglers busted

Korea Customs Service announced at Incheon International Airport on May 23 that it had uncovered a 51-member smuggling ring who moved 2,348 kilograms of gold (worth 11.35 billion won, or US$10.08 million) in their anuses on flights between South Korea, China and Japan. The smugglers would each put five or six gold cubes (pictured, measuring three by three by two centimeters) into their anus for each flight. Customs officials caught the smugglers after analyzing their movements, where they would frequently travel to South Korea and leave after a short stays. (Yonhap News)
