South Korea proved victorious (1-0) in its semi-final match against Ecuador during the U20 World Cup in Lublin, Poland, on June 11. South Korea will play against Ukraine in the final on June 15. It will be both South Korea’s and Ukraine’s first time in a FIFA men’s tournament final. After the match with Ecuador, South Korean player Lee Kang-in said the final against Ukraine will be “a historic day.” Lee passed the ball to his teammate Choi Jun, who scored the match’s only goal in the 39th minute of the first half. At only 18 years old, Lee is the team’s youngest player.
