[Photo] Pyeongchang International Peace Film Festival set for next month

The 2019 Pyeongchang International Peace Film Festival (PIPFF) is set to kick off on Aug. 16 for five days. The festival will focus on themes related to inter-Korean issues and reconciliation. Subjects covered by the films include North Korea’s past and present and its human rights issues as well as the Korean Peninsula’s division. Festival organizers held a press conference at the Gangwon Provincial Office building on July 15, 2019. The photo shows a scene of the North Korean film “The Bird” (1992), which will be screened as the opening film. (provided by the PIPFF)
