Japanese Ambassador to Israel Koji Tomita, Japan’s representative in the G20 Summit, is set to become the country’s next ambassador to South Korea. A source from within the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has revealed that process for affirming Tomita as Tokyo’s next ambassador in Seoul has already become. Tomita will replace Ambassador Yasumasa Nagamine, whose three-year term will wrap up next month. Tomita is the son-in-law of far-right novelist Yukio Mishima.
