The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) World Championships, which were scheduled to be held in Busan, South Korea, from Mar. 22 to 29, have been postponed due to the novel coronavirus outbreak. “We explored the possibility of hosting the event as scheduled without spectators," Busan Mayor Oh Keo-don said during a press conference. "But at this juncture, when we have to make the safety of our people and athletes our top priority, we decided it was inappropriate to go ahead with the tournament.” For now, the tournament has been rescheduled for June 21-28.
