Romania dispatched a NATO cargo plane to South Korea, which arrived at Incheon International Airport on Mar. 25, to pick up protective suits it plans on using in the country’s fight against the novel coronavirus. The suits were not donated by South Korea purchased by Romania. As of Mar. 25, Romania has reported 725 confirmed COVID-19 cases and eight deaths. The C-17 heavy military cargo plane was reportedly loaded with 45 tons of medical equipment, including 100,000 protective suits, before taking off back toward Romania. Romania has also reached an agreement to purchase 20,000 diagnostic kits from South Korea.
