Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov has requested COVID-19 diagnostic kits from South Korea in a phone call with South Korean President Moon Jae-in. Borisov went on to say that he will “personally explain to [Bulgaria’s] National Assembly that South Korea is making hopeful progress in containing the COVID-19 outbreak.” Blue House Spokesperson Kang Min-seok said that Moon and Borisov spoke on the phone for about 15 minutes on Mar. 31, explaining that Bulgaria is dealing with an explosion in demand for testing and diagnostic kits as the European continent fights the COVID-19 pandemic. “[Borisov] has a high opinion of Korea’s technology and sciences, its clinical data and experiences in treatment,” Kang added.
