[Photo] S. Korea to export its “smart city” model to 12 locations in 11 countries in K-City network

The South Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) is exporting the Korean model of smart urban planning to 11 countries within its K-City network. The network comprises urban projects around the world in countries looking to apply the Korean model of smart cities. MOLIT has received 80 applications from 23 governments and public institutions around the world, of out of which it’s selected six locations for its smart city program: Bolshoy Kamen, Russia; Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia; Dala New City, Myanmar; Mekong Delta, Vietnam; the Chinchero International Airport in Cusco, Peru; and Indonesia’s new capital.
