Amid transport difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, South Korea has started chartering idle planes from airlines to use as cargo plans. The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) has sent chartered planes to Chongqing, China, and Jakarta, Indonesia, to help South Korean businesses transport exports. "South Korea will consider increasing the number of such flights to help local companies keep running amid the spread of the COVID-19 virus and disturbed air travel," Trade Minister Sung Yun-mo said.
