Amid a surge of COVID-19 cases discovered among migrant workers from Pakistan and Bangladesh, South Korea will tighten entry and visa restrictions for both countries. Starting June 23, no new visas will be issued for people from Pakistan and Bangladesh, except diplomats and preapproved business travelers, Health Minister Park Neung-hoo announced on June 21. South Korea will also prohibit all non-scheduled flights from both countries starting until further notice.
