The fortieth anniversary of the Yushin constitution is this year and this photo depicts a series of performances that recreate the human rights abuses that took place under dictator Park Chung-hee. Here a police officer attempts to cut off a rock musician’s long hair. Before Park took power, South Korea had a vibrant rock music scene, but all the musicians were persecuted under the heavy-handed system.
