Police spray Sewol victims' families and citizens with a water cannon and tear gas at Gwanghwamun Square in central Seoul, Apr. 18, two days after the anniversary of the sinking. Around 300,000 people (8,000 by police estimate) gathered to demonstrate, calling for the government to salvage the ferry, scrap the special Sewol Law enforcement decree and hold a thorough investigation into the tragedy. 100 people were arrested by police.
