[%%IMAGE1%%] Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon talks with former comfort women Kim Bok-dong (second from the right) and Gil Won-ok (right). Last year Park was selected as the winner of the Gothenburg Award for Sustainable Development, and decided to donate 50 million won (US$43,858) of the prize money to the former comfort women. 　A campaign is also underway whereby citizens can shake hands with a former comfort woman and donate 50,000 won. The goal is to raise 10 billion won, the same amount that the Japanese government provided as part of the Dec. 28, 2015 agreement. 　Park has participated in efforts to assist former comfort women since 1990. Past winners of the prize include former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.
