A human bone has been found in the seabed in the area around where the Sewol ferry sank, off the coast of Jindo, South Jeolla Province. The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries announced on May 5 that the first human bone to be found, since the seabed search started on Apr. 9, either on the ferry or in the seabed, was recovered at 11:36 am. The bone measures 34 cm, and appears to be a human leg. This photo shows workers cleaning the metal exterior of the Sewol, at Mokpo New Port on May 4. (Yonhap News)
