Starting in May in Okcheon, North Chungcheong Province, carrots and sweet potatoes, foods enjoyed by wild boars, have been left out to attract the animals, and reduce the damage they do to crops, using a method other than trapping them. On June 10, the National Institute of Biological Resources installed surveillance cameras in two locations to observe the effects. They recorded five wild boars eating the carrots and sweet potatoes and leaving without damaging crops.
