On the same day as a large rally was taking place in Gwanghwamun Plaza, a second group of about 2000 citizens gathered in front of the Korean Development Bank headquarters in the Youido neighborhood of Seoul to celebrate the first anniversary of the Candlelight Revolution. The event, which was called, “Candlelight Party: Goodbye Radical Leftists” wasn’t organized by any specific group, but rather was a voluntary gathering of people demanding that the investigation into deep-rooted vices be aimed at the National Assembly rather than the former administrations of the Park and Lee governments. The demonstrators dressed up in costumes in celebration of Halloween.
