[%%IMAGE1%%]<p>  On Feb. 20, Ansan Mayor Je Jong-geel announced at the National Assembly that a memorial for the victims of the Sewol Ferry disaster will be constructed at the Hwarang Recreation Area in the city of Ansan Plans to construct a memorial park for the victims according to the Sewol Special Law commenced in Sept 2015, but disagreements over the memorial’s composition and a suitable site persisted for several years before the location was finalized. The park will be built next to the site of the government’s group memorial altar, which can be seen in the center of the photo.</p>
