A grey heron that inhabits Taehwagang Migratory Bird Park in Ulsan has been filmed trying protect its young from the heat wave that’s currently sweeping the Korean Peninsula. A mother heron filmed on July 31 spread her wings over her hatchlings all day in an effort to provide constant shade. The highest temperature on that day was 32.6 degrees Celsius. Not only did the mother spread her wings over her young all day, she also adjusted her body angle according to the sun’s movements. (Provided by Ulsan City)
