The former manager and two waitresses of a North Korean restaurant in China who were forced to move to South Korea under a defection orchestrated by the Park Geun-hye administration attended the funeral of former comfort woman turned peace activist Kim Bok-dong. The former manager, Ho Kang-il, and waitresses even pitched in to have a wreath traditional condolence flowers be delivered to the wake. Lee and the waitresses sent regards and offered their condolences on behalf of all 13 employees who were forced to defect to South Korea in April 2016.
