After being vandalized, a sign marking the birthplace of former President Park Geun-hye has been removed. Originally erected in 2013 but taken down after being vandalized, the sign was erected again on Oct. 4, 2019, in Daegu’s Jung District, on the insistence of far-right groups. The sign was taken down again on Jan. 28. One other sign still remains, however, despite having been vandalized.
