South Korean Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun has advocated starting the spring semester of schools in different phases starting Apr. 9. During a meeting of the Central Disaster Safety Countermeasure Headquarters at the Central Government Complex in Seoul on Mar. 31, Chung also said that college entrance exam schedules need to be adjusted accordingly and that online classes are a likely alternative to holding on-campus classes for most schools. Considering the number of designated school days, further delaying the beginning of the spring semester is unlikely.
