The Seoul Metropolitan Government will provide 1 million won (US$822) to young part-time workers who lost their jobs as a result of the COVID-19 epidemic. The payments will be made in two installments of 500,000 won for the months of March and April. At first, the city planned on giving these payments to only 500 people, but the number of applicants (1,155) turned out to be far greater than expected. A total of 892 people have been selected to be paid for March, while 883 are expected to be paid for April.
