South Koreans are allowed to send up to 36 publicly distributed masks to family members residing abroad every three months. On May 18, the Korea Customs Service announced it was raising its former limit of 24 to 36. South Koreans sent over 2 million masks to family members abroad throughout the past two months. Foreign residents, however, are not allowed to send publicly distributed masks abroad, with the exception of foreign nationals sending masks to Koreans spouses abroad.
