[%%IMAGE1%%]<p>To mark the second anniversary of the Pyongyang Joint Declaration, both South Koreans and the international community are waging a social media campaign for officially ending the Korean War (1950-53), which has technically been ongoing since the Armistice Agreement of 1953. The campaign, which is scheduled to last until Sept. 26, features posts with the hashtag #EndtheKoreanWar. People are also signing the online petition Korean Peace Appeal (en.endthekoreanwar.net/home) calling for an official truce to the war as well as the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
