South Korea recorded 73 new cases of COVID-19 on Oct. 5, marking the fifth consecutive day of the daily caseload falling under 100. According to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KADA), the number of community infections stood at 64, while the remaining nine were from overseas. The country’s cumulative total now stands at 24,164. After recording 77 cases on Oct. 1, the beginning of the Chuseok holiday weekend, South Korea has seen cases remain in the double digits for five consecutive days.
