Environmental activists gathered in front of the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Seoul on Oct. 26 to protest Japan’s plan to dump radioactive water from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant into the Pacific Ocean. The Japanese government is expected to make an official decision regarding the ocean release in the upcoming weeks. Demonstrators demanded the immediate withdrawal of the ocean release plans, citing the presence of radioactive substances in 72% of the water.
