North Korean officials unload powdered skim milk sent to North Korea by the Women’s Special Advisory Committee of the South Korean Red Cross at Kaesung City, March 10.

The South Korean government has not sent government-level humanitarian aid to North Korea for over two years, while the private sector has attempted to maintain aid to the country. The Women’s Special Advisory Committee of the South Korean Red Cross launched a two-year fundraising campaign to buy the 20 tons of powdered skim milk.
