Some of North Korea’s newly publicized propaganda for the “independent unification attack.” From Jan. 18 to 21 one new “independent unification”-themed piece of propaganda was released by Uriminzokkiri, the state-controlled organization that releases messages targeted at international audiences through Twitter, YouTube, and its own website. Each piece features things like backgrounds of red flags and slogans along the lines of “The three broad principles of the arch of reunification and North-South joint declarations are the way to the ethnic community’s reunification.” This and other such Shakespearian turns of phrase were taken from North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s Jan. 1 New Year’s address and other related speeches.
