The unified Korean women’s hockey team practiced together for the first time at the Jincheon National Training Center in North Chungcheong Province on Jan. 28. In the two days prior, the South and North Korean players held separate practices so that Coach Sarah Murray could gauge the skill level of the team’s newest additions. Following the first joint practice, a team source said, “Coach Murray is feeling good [about the new players], and the atmosphere inside the team is warm and very positive.” The team will play a warm-up match against Sweden on Feb. 4 before beginning its Olympics schedule against Switzerland on Feb. 10.
