The Korean War (1950-53) divided the Korean Peninsula into two and separated countless families. During the Inter-Korean Summit on Apr. 27, the leaders of the two Koreas agreed to organize a reunion of separated families for August 15, the National Liberation Day of Korea. Unification Minister Cho Myung-gyon announced on Apr. 29 that South Korea will push for inter-Korean Red Cross talks for organizing the reunion as soon as possible.
