A North Korean fishing boat collided with a Japanese patrol ship near Japan’s Noto Peninsula on the morning of Oct. 7. After the collision, the North Korean boat’s crew members all fell into the ocean, and were rescued by the Japan Coast Guard. The NHK reported that all 70 of the North Korean boat’s crew members had been rescued. The North Korean boat was illegally fishing for squid in Japanese waters when the collision occurred, the NHK reported.
