Samsung Electronics has revealed a solid-state drive (SDD) that operates even if the NAND chip fails. On Sept. 19, Samsung launched its PCIe Gen4 solid state drive SSD series of a whopping 30.72 terabytes of storage, with fail-in place (FIP) technology that allows it function even amid NAND chip errors. Conventional SSDs need to be replaced entirely if even a single component in its NAND chip malfunctions. (provided by Samsung Electronics)
