Actor Song Joong-ki personally shared the news of his remarriage and his new wife’s pregnancy.

On Monday afternoon, Song posted a message on his official fan club's online bulletin board.

“I have vowed to spend the rest of my life with Katy Louise Saunders, who has been by my side, cheering me on,” Song said, saying the two have been “caring for each other and spent precious time together.”

Song said that the two officially registered their marriage to begin their lives as a couple “based on deep trust and love.”

News of Song dating a British woman first broke last December.

At the time, Song’s agency, HighZium Studio, issued an official statement acknowledging that Song was indeed dating, but did not disclose any details regarding whom. Monday was the first time that Song officially revealed his partner to be actress Katy Louise Saunders.

Saunders made her own cinematic debut in the 2002 film “A Journey Called Love” and has since appeared in several more movies and TV series.

Besides announcing his marriage, Song also shared another important life update through his post.

“Together, we wished for the dream of creating a happy family together. We have put a lot of effort into keeping the promises we made to each other and, thankfully, a precious life has come to the two of us,” Song said, announcing that he and Saunders were expecting their first child together.
