In Gwangmyung, Gyeonggi Province, a mine that was shut down in 1972 and used to store fermented food, is now being renovated to host musical performances, art exhibits and movie screenings. Gwangmyung City Government allocated 4.2 billion won to change the cave into an art center. The average temperature inside is 12 degrees Celsius all year round. There is a 100㎡ stage and 350 seats.
