Kil Won-ok, a former ‘comfort woman’ who had been forced into sexual slavery by the Japanese military during World War 2, looks up at skywriting to Japan that says, “Say Sorry,” Aug 14, a day before Korea’s national holiday of independence. The message was sponsored by a group affiliated with Amnesty International in Canberra, Australia, where Kil is visiting to participate in the demonstration to commemorate a day of global solidarity towards resolving this issue.
