The main South Korean delegation to the Tokyo Olympics departed for Japan from Incheon International Airport on Monday.

Jang In-hwa, head of the delegation, led a team of 69 athletes and 28 officials to Tokyo on Korean Air Flight KE 703.

A total of 232 athletes will be competing in 29 different sports in the upcoming Games. They will be accompanied by 88 coaching staff members and 34 officials. The stated objective for Team Korea is to win seven gold medals, 11 silver medals and 14 bronze medals to land in the top 10 in the medal race for the fifth consecutive Summer Olympics.
